The Sundial on the facade of the Villarrobledo Town Hall, on the ONCE coupon
The Sundial of the main façade of Villarrobledo City Council (Albacete), stars in the coupon of the ONCE of March 12, within the new series of coupons 'Cities in point and hour'. With this new series, the ONCE wants to remember the function that these sundials perform, some precision machines, some with more than a century of operation.
This series will delight those who live in the different locations where these sundials are, and collectors who will have some coupons that review the history of each of these cities.
This new series, corresponding to the Daily Coupon (from Monday to Thursday), will gather 50 picturesque clocks. It begins on March 11, and its completion is scheduled for the last dates of the year 2020.
The Sundial on the main façade of Villarrobledo Town Hall dates from 1599. Made in stone, the hours X, XI, XII, I and II are recorded in a position parallel to the time lines; while the remaining hours are in a perpendicular position. It is semicircular, and finishes off the facade of the Town Hall.
