Alcudia (Valencia) premiere an original sundial

Yesterday (2016/04/12) in the Tirant lo Blanc square and a large presence of Alcudia school opened an original sundial.

The sundial has been designed by the architect Francisco de Alcudia Pina, who directed its construction. This new element makes to the building of the House of Culture and the architect Antonio Calza, who designed this unique building that said "This clock, clever and aesthetic at the same time enriches the House of Culture."

The sundial was inaugurated by the Mayor of Alcudia, Andreu Salom, the Councillor for Education, Pilar Huertas and own architect, Francisco Pina, who explained his operation attendees.

It is a sundial linear vertical multignòmon declined and timestamps are every fifteen minutes. The wall of the Casa de la Cultura contains reading times in both summer time and in winter time and solar time accurate numerals.
