Perpignan opens Europe's largest sundial
A giant sundial thirty meters long and a pin that rises twenty-two meters of land. Is the proposal made Parisian artist Marc-André de Figueres to Aglomeración Perpiñán-Mediterráneo and today inaugurated the center of a roundabout at the exit toll north of Perpignan. Beyond the monuments, the sundial is also controversial news for overhead hundred thousand euros.
Initially approved in March by the Agglomeration, then chaired by Jean-Paul Alduy for an estimated cost of two hundred thousand euros, today inaugurated the work without the passion of the new president of the US municipal institution -catalana, Jean-Marc Pujol, for a price of nearly three hundred thousand euros.
Marc-André de Figueres is the author of another large sundial in Sureda (Roussillon).
