Synopsis
Sundials can appear as items
from another era, somewhat esoteric, giving a
approximate time, and have now become useless to
the digital hour and the nanosecond.
However, they remain elements that can usefully adorn
buildings or enrich the urban space. We also know the
make it simple and precise, and they remain objects to the fort
pedagogical (and fun!) potential to better
understand our relationship to the Sun. Finally they are
probably in line with aspirations
contemporary times of closer ties to nature and of life
quieter, slower ("slow life").
This book, intended for all those who are
interested in the history, theory and construction of
