Castelldefels releases a new Sundial

Castelldefels beach hosted on November 17 a civic meeting to present the population with a new sundial.

The day began in the passage of the Playa de la Pineda (pedestrian area of the Paseo Marítimo), between the streets 11 and 13, where the new sundial is located. It was also planned an observation of spots and solar protuberances with telescope, in charge of the Astronomical Association of Castelldefels and Out of Orbit. A totally cloudy sky unfortunately prevented the development of this activity.

Around 11 o'clock the presentation of the sundial, designed by Antonio Bernal, scientific disseminator of the Fabra Observatory and former director of the Planetarium of Medellin, in Colombia, was presented.
