New sundial in Roses (Alt Empordà)

NEW SUNDIAL ON ROSES
On January 3, 2013 at 12 Noon became the official delivery of a horizontal sundial to Roses Citadel.
This sundial, horizontal type (44 cm diameter) and built in brass, is the work of Aleksandr Boldyrev (www.boldyrevsundials.com) Russian scientist who already collaborated with calculations and design for the Human Sundial of the Citadel, as part of a family activity that took place from educational service of the City of Roses Citadel and participated by about 100 people.
The author of the watch, which was responsible among other works of design and construction of sundials 6 installed in the newly renovated Moscow Planetarium has designed the clock on the Citadel so it can serve as an instrument scientist allows to correctly read the exact solar time on the meridian of the Roses Citadel, while solar time taken to winter time and summer time with the equation of time.
