New Sundial on Pozoblanco (Córdoba)

The Department of Physics and Chemistry of IES "Antonio Maria Calero" of Pozoblanco (Córdoba) Spain, reports that to mark the international year of astronomy the City Council built a magnificent sundial on the Marcos Redondo Avenue next to the local hospital and two secondary schools.

In fact, there are three clocks located at the faces of a triangular prism base, one facing south, one oriented to the northeast at an angle of declination of 123.8 degrees and a third oriented northwest with an angle of declination of 146.4 degrees.

With this initiative, the City Council wants to help bring science to young people.
