Roman sundial in Ador (valencia - Spain)

The Town Hall of Ador houses the only Roman sundial in the Valencian Country

The only Roman sundial that is preserved in the Valencian Country is in Ador (La Safor). It is a classic model with conical casting that retains the hole in which the gnomon was framed, missing metallic search, which produced the shadow. The Ador hemicylum is a piece that is quite complete and in an acceptable state of conservation, which allows to observe the position of the 11 hour lines that divide the plane of the clock in 12 sectors corresponding to 12 Roman hours. You can visit the Town Hall's, in office hours.
